It's all about Texture, Texture, Texture in these cost-effective fall floral designs!

One of the things I love the most about fall flowers is the texture! It seems like the textures explode as the bright colors begin to fade and the temps start to drop. I also love that many of the textured fall offerings are cost-effective! This can be great news for the budget of your event!

A few weeks ago I created some arrangements for a fall house party. You can read more about that here...https://www.studiofloralia.com/post/your-title-what-s-your-blog-about-1 I had so much fun pulling elements for that event that I thought it would be a great time to create a few floral designs for a cost-effective fall wedding with a lot of textured elements.

I included the videos of the bridesmaid bouquet and the bridal bouquet to show the movement present in these designs. They will sway and move as the person holding them walks down the aisle. In both bouquets, I used the color, texture, and shape of the maroon mums to create a focal point.

A few Keys to cost-effective fall floral designs with texture

1. Find out what flowers are in season

When you are working with a budget one of the best things you can do is work with items that are seasonally available. This is why you don't often see lilacs in the fall or peonies in February. When you see a bouquet or floral design that features flowers that are not in season you can trust that someone paid a lot of money for those specialty items! Flowers have seasons and although the industry has come a long way we cannot make flowers grow naturally in February in MN so you will have to pay for them to be shipped here from wherever they may be in season. As you plan your event it will be helpful for you to keep flower-growing seasons in mind. This is one more way a floral specialist is uniquely gifted to help you stay on budget!

2. Think outside the box

Flexibility....it's the key to success. A good floral professional should be able to suggest ways to help you stay on budget. Those may be ideas you never thought of. You may consider adding hard goods or dried elements to centerpieces or bouquets. When I was gathering elements for this post I saw the wheat and fell for the color and texture. I picked up a bundle for a fraction of the price I would have paid for other line flowers. The wheat also supported the fall theme nicely.

3. Ask your designer if they have suggestions to help you stay on budget.

I'll drop this in here once more...It is always beneficial to chat with your floral professional to help you come up with fun and creative ideas that will keep you on budget. Nothing feels better than watching your creativity come together within the budget you have set. There may be times when your floral professional will need to help guide your expectations.
